What is dental bonding?
Dental treatment that corrects cracked teeth or teeth that have changed in shape, size, or spacing. Dental bonding is a type of filling that is most commonly used on the front teeth.
The procedure can be completed in a single visit if not many teeth need to be corrected, as only a very small part of the tooth surface is filed down.

What is involved in dental bonding?
The surface of the tooth is roughened and cleaned of caries if necessary. The material is applied in layers until the shape, size, and occlusion (contact with the opposing tooth) are completely restored. Very good results can also be achieved with the color if it is correctly selected – without contrast between the tooth and the filling. The material is hardened with a photopolymer lamp after each portion is applied.
This procedure is very easy because it is mainly performed in the dentist’s office without anesthesia. It does not damage the enamel and causes minimal loss (filing) of the tooth. It is relatively inexpensive and does not require special care, only good daily hygiene.
