What is anesthesia?

The anesthetic is applied to avoid pain during the manipulations performed in the dental chair. Its application is NOT painful.

Contains stabilizers, preservatives and adrenaline. Adrenaline is diluted and contained in smaller quantities (it works by prolonging the effect of the anesthetic and constricting blood vessels). If the anesthetic did not contain adrenaline, it would only work for 20 minutes. It is necessary to warn the dentist who treats you if you have high blood pressure, allergies, pregnancy (it is possible to harm the fetus) or heart problems.

On the lower jaw, the anesthesia covers half of the cheeks, tongue, and lip, and on the upper jaw, only the area around the adjacent teeth, the cheek, and the lip above them.

The anesthetic can last up to 3 hours.
