Braces
The main prerequisite for achieving the desired result of orthodontic treatment, namely clean, healthy, and well-aligned teeth, is maintaining good oral hygiene during treatment. Poor hygiene invariably leads to a number of negative effects. Braces and the materials used to fix them do not damage the teeth. Food and microorganisms that cause tooth decay do not get trapped under them. Problems arise when food gets stuck around the braces, which is inevitable, and is not cleaned. When the patient does not remove these food residues, the risk of tooth decay increases significantly.
